OELP Day 0 ----- Geraldine

Hey readers! It's Geraldine once again! It was the first day of our OELP, considered as Day 0 as all we did was to take the plane to Shanghai and check in to the Shanghai Yitel Hotel.

It was my first time taking Singapore Airlines and so I was very excited as I had heard from my friends that the service was awesome. Indeed, it was! We had a screen all to ourselves and we could listen to any music, play any games and watch any movies we want, which I am very satisfied and glad about as it definitely kept me entertained during the five-hour flight. It was really a good chance for me to enjoy such freedom and bond with my classmates around me. I remembered there was this really funny incident where something happened during my dinner and all was in a chaos for a while (I forgot what happened but anyway...) my friend, Constance, said something dropped to the ground. "Really? No what..." was my reply. Then she looked at my tray and asked "Where's your butter?" A few seconds of silence past before we burst out in laughter. We searched for the butter on the floor (even with a torchlight) but to no success. Then just when I gave up finding it and stood up to leave for the toilet, I found the butter on the seat just beside the spot where I was sitting. We burst out in laughter again. The laughters and funny moments really made the trip more enjoyable and in fact, I feel, make our relationship even better.

We went to Shanghai Yitel Hotel after landing and I felt very excited because I had never stayed in a hotel before. The bed was, much to my satisfactory, extremely big and the blankets were extremely thick and warm. I did not have a good sleep though... Probably due to the fact that I was too excited. :p

Overall, today had definitely set a good starting for my OELP trip. Looking forward to more exciting events in this trip!
